sports car racing

I suppose I like sports cars racing the best, I just don't care much for the sports car racing that we get.

I attended the recent Emco Gears Classic Rolex sports car races at Mid Ohio and I have to admit, the racing didn't thrill me. Love the cars, but the racing sucks. There was a car off and a full course caution on the first lap. Another car went off right in front of me a few laps later, full course caution. Then five cars ran into each other and things really got tied up, long full course caution.

Now don't get me wrong, this one did end up being a close race, but I wasn't following it anymore. I don't know how you could follow it short of having your own laptop tracking the radio signals from the cars as they went by.

Less cars per race, more and shorter races, the way that God and John Bishop designed it. PLEASE!

Qualify, have three or four heat races and the main event. No pit strategy, no stops for gas or tires. The driver and the car go out to win everytime. That's it.

Here are some of the cars during the race, a caution actually, notice the crowd of excited fans.
